What product to hold soft curls?

I'm looking for a hair product for my hair. I am Asian, medium to long length, medium coarseness. Basically, whenever I do a curly style with a curling iron, it looks great for about 30 minutes, then falls out. I'd like something that I can apply to my hair dry, and leaves hair soft and touchable, not crunchy. I've really only had much experience in hairspray, which I've found usually makes my hair crunchy. I'd like to experiment with mousse, but have heard that it only works well on wet hair. I don't know how true that is, but I'd like to have the flexibility to style my hair wet or dry. Any suggestions? Thanks!

If you use mousse on wet hair, not too much, but one poof would work. Apply it to your hair and then blowdry and then try the curls. This will hold the curls longer.

Also, Tresemme has some new heat/curl sprays to use on dry hair before you curl. Hair can be stubborn but there's things we can do to help it hold. You could also try hot rollers. I live in Dallas so mine usually turn to waves by the afternoon but I like the body they give and how soft they make my hair.

theres a good hairspray by pantene its called like texturize youd think it would mae the curls hard, but it leaves them soft and holds so strong for so long!
