The best thing for long faces is a bob.I know this because I have a long face and every hairdresser I've ever been to has told me shorter is better.If you get a bob haircut with some soft layers that frame your face it will give your face a fuller look and the short hair will distract from the length of your face.

You could even go a bit longer with that hairstyle.Side bangs are great unless you have a very small forehead.
Volumization is really the key here.You don't want your hair to be too flat where it sticks to your head and draws attention to your face shape.
