I have long hair for a guy, how do I ask my hair dresser to cut my hair just a bit?

My hair style is pretty much the same (maybe a bit longer) than my cartoon picture here on Yahoo. I need to get my hair cut a little but every time I get my hair cut just a little it turns out looking girly. I need it to stay looking like good medium length messy man hair. Anyone with similar experience or good idea?

tell ur hairdresser you just want a trim not to have it styled watch wat she/he is doing to your hair closley and mention it if your not comfortable with what she is doing to your hair. its easy. just say what you want. there paid to do exactly that.

ask her to trim it. i don't know if guys use language like that when they get their hair cut, but they will know what it is if you tell them. it just means to even off the split ends and you can also ask her to take off say 1 in. and since your hair is as long as some girls they will do that for you too.hope i helped!

I guess you just go to your regular hairdresser and tell him or her exactly what you posted here. Tell your stylist what you didn't like about it the last time it was trimmed and then leave it to that person to hopefully know how to do it this time to your liking. Maybe they have some pictures there you could look at and discuss which one is closest to what you want. Apart from making sure that your stylist does speak english, lol, I don't know what else is going to do it.
