Does the length of your hair kill your professionalism?

I usually have a hairstyle of medium length, kept clean, neatly styled with a few choppy layers for effect. Everyone I know loves it, as do I, but do you think it lowers my appeal to employers?

Keep in mind, I'm talking about employers in either a retail setting, or food service as it's all I'm qualified to work, not a suit and tie kind of gig.

Does the length of your hair kill your professionalism?

Good question.

It might. If you have a hairstyle that others may deem as 'outlandish' then it might..depending on where you work..

if you worked in an office : i doubt they'll hire you if you're sporting a mohawk

Does the length of your hair kill your professionalism?

No, not nowadays.

Does the length of your hair kill your professionalism?

no... if ur hair length suits you, then it doen't matter .. ber it a boy cut or hair till your knee....

Does the length of your hair kill your professionalism?

my hair is down past my butt and i'm a massage therapist... i can't have my hair getting in the way... so i keep it pulled back in a bun. if you're working a job that you can't have your hair down in they'll have you pull it back. That simple. :) if you're going into food service, make sure when you go in for interviews you pull it back too. its a subtle thing to make an impression :)

But no, length has no effect on professionalism. now, if you had it dyed cotton candy pink with green streaks... then yeah.. it'd not look good to them lol
